Welcome to The Yews

The Yews is a large Victorian house at the junction of Boltro Road and Muster Green in the middle of Haywards Heath which was run by West Sussex County Council (WSCC). The building is home to more than 20 voluntary and self-help groups supporting people with special needs in the community.

A partnership (currently consisting of the Friends of the Yews, Mid Sussex (South) Council for Voluntary Service, Sussex Oakleaf and Action for Deafness supported by Haywards Heath Town Council, WSCC and Mid Sussex District Council) applied to WSCC to take over the running of The Yews. Finally, after many months of hard work, meetings, and perseverance, The Yews (Haywards Heath) Community Partnership took over the operation from The Friends of The Yews that was running it on an interim basis. WSCC formally handed over the building at a ceremony on October 1st 2011 - for more details see the History page.

More information about the groups that use the Yews is contained on the About. Details of its aims are on the What it offers page and of the rooms that are available on the Accomodation page.

The Yews is open every day. The Contacts page gives our telephone number and the Visiting page has all of the information you need if you plan to visit us.

The Events page has details of fundraising events planned by the committee. See our Supporting page if you could help us by volunteering or fundraising
